Questions regarding measures to combat the Covid-19 pandemic and how they affect the school and our students.
Attendance is taken for each class. Special care needs to be taken to register who is in house at what time for tracing purposes should there be an infection. The following letters are used:
If a student has an underlying health condition or for any other reason doesn´t feel able to attend school due to Covid-19, we ask that they please contact their headmaster or a student counsellor.
If someone doesn´t follow the rules the best thing to do is to start by pointing it out to them, often people simply forget and are grateful to be reminded. If you are diagnosed with Covid-19 you will get isolation instructions from the Covid-19 clinic. You inform the school about your diagnosis by sending an email to [email protected] You are also welcome to contact the school psychologist, your headmaster or teachers. If you are quarantined by order of the healthcare authorities you will get instructions from them on how to proceed. You inform the school about your quarantine status by sending an email to [email protected] You are also welcome to contact the school psychologist, your headmaster or teachers. If you are feeling worried or anxious due to Covid-19 please contact Benedikt Bragi Sigurðsson, the school psychologist. You can book an appointment with him in Inna. If you are ill or suspect you might have been infected you need to stay at home. Please contact your local healthcare centre or use this website https://www.covid.is/hafa-samband to get further instructions about what to do next.
If you have been tested for Covid-19 you can not come to school until you get your results back. If your results are negative for Covid-19 you should still stay at home until you have been symptom-free for 2 days.
If you notice flulike symptoms or other signs of illness after coming to school you should go home immediately and let your teacher or headmaster know. Contact your local healthcare centre or use this website https://www.covid.is/hafa-samband to get further instructions about what to do next.
If your symptoms are not caused by Covid-19 you should still stay at home until you have been symptom-free for 2 days.
