All students have access to the schools computer systems. A username and temporary password is issued to every students personal email address when they are enrolled in the school.
Note that this account is specifically for the schools computer systems and you cannot use Íslykill to log into the computers.
When you log in to a school computer for the first time, it will ask you to create a new password.
The new password needs to be at least 8 letters long and include at least one capital letter, one lower case letter and one number. This password will then be used to access all the school computers and systems so it is important to remember it.
If you forget your password then we have a website to reset it.
In the event that you forget your password you can go to lykilord.tskoli.is. There you input your personal email address and press “Request Link”. Once you’ve pressed the button you should receive an email to your personal email address with your username, your school email address and a link to reset your password.
Click the link and you will be redirected to a website that will let you set your own new password. Note that this link will only work for 15 minutes.
If something comes up while you are resetting the password and you are unable to use the link within 15 minutes of receiving it then you will need to request a new link. If this happens it is good to note that you should always check the latest email as some inboxes create an email chain from addresses so it is always good to make sure you are checking the latest email in the chain for the correct link.
If you don’t seem to be receiving any emails from the website, start by checking your Spam and Junk folders as they can often be caught in the automatic filters.
If you still cannot find any emails from the website after requesting a link then don’t hesitate to contact the IT department via email at [email protected], calling one of our phone numbers found on our general info page or checking in at our offices between 8 and 16 on weekdays.
